About Bloodlines
So we've piqued your interest, eh? Below you will find some additional information about our game and the world in which it is set. If you have any other questions, please feel free to comment and we will be happy to get back to you.

Bloodlines is set a little over four years after the end of Deathly Hallows, and it disregards the epilogue (i.e. DH EWE canon). Recovery from the war is a long process, but the world has made great strides toward it. Harry and many of his peers have finished school, closed businesses have reopened, emotional scars are healing, and some have moved on completely. The characters we know (and a few we don't really know at all) have begun to develop lives out of our view, have reached a place of equilibrium.
But what would a true Harry Potter world be without a bit of magical adventure and mystery?
As the game opens, something significant has happened. The five highest ranking Aurors have died under mysterious circumstances, with mysterious symptoms. Very few characters will realize at first just how significant it is, but suffice it to say that the problem will be...spreading.
How will the characters handle a world once again thrown into upheaval? Will certain characters even feel a difference, or will they continue about their lives as if nothing has changed? If it doesn't directly affect a character, what if it affects his or her family? Friends? Co-workers?
In Bloodlines, we hope to answer all of those questions.
What this game IS.
A place to grab onto a character and really explore everything about him or her. Whether that's going to the market, having dinner with friends, or dealing with heavy issues related to the world plots, we want to see it.
One giant story. Even if your character does not interact with every other character, they are all interconnected. We strive to provide a single world in which each character exists and with which they will interact.
What this game IS NOT.
A game where you'll feel like you're wasting your time or spinning your creative wheels. Even the seemingly innocent, everyday interactions can eventually lead into great friendships between characters, among other things. And if you ever do feel stuck, the mods are more than willing to help you brainstorm and move your character along. In fact, we insist on it.
A place for fandom wank, shipping for the sake of shipping, character bashing, and general nonsense. If that's your thing, then this isn't the place for you, so please don't bother to apply.
What we as Mods offer you.
A fully fleshed-out world, including:
Location and building maps and information.
Game canon guidelines for money, transportation, communication, and many other things.
Varied and exciting options for jobs and housing.
An entirely new, up-and-coming wizarding town!
An ongoing and always evolving world plotline designed to drive general gameplay, but never overshadow daily character interactions.
An understanding of the process from both sides. We will be players in Bloodlines, we've played in other games, and we've modded other games and fandom communities.
Equal parts flexibility and firmness.
Talk to us. We will do whatever we can to help you with the big and the small. Brainstorming, plotting, possible exceptions to the rules, hiatuses, whatever it might be.
But don't be fooled by our sweet exteriors. This game should be a fun and safe environment for all involved. The rules are in place for a reason. So don't doubt that we will use them if needed.
